FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I back up my messages and access them if I change devices?
No. Currently, you cannot back up or restore your Roamless messages. If you delete the Roamless app or change your mobile device, you will not be able to access your previous messages or message history.
Can I receive SMS messages on my verified number in the Roamless app?
No. You cannot receive SMS messages on your verified number delivered to the Roamless app. SMS messages sent to your verified number will arrive in your default messaging app on your mobile device (i.e. the Messages app).
Can I choose which number I’m using to send SMS?
Yes. If you have a verified number in addition to a Roamless Number, you can select which number to use as the ‘sender’. (Please remember: While you can send SMS using your verified number or a Roamless Number, only Roamless Numbers can receive SMS messages in the Roamless app.)
Can I receive one-time password (OTP) or two-factor authentication (2FA) messages when registering on apps and online services using Roamless?
You need an active Roamless Number subscription to receive SMS. With your Roamless Number, you can receive OTP (one-time-password) and 2FA (two-factor authentication) messages for app registrations and other online services.
Can I send and receive SMS using Roamless?
Yes. However, to send SMS using the Roamless app, you need either an active Roamless Number subscription or you need to verify your current phone number. (Please note that to receive SMS, you will need a Roamless Number, as your verified number cannot receive SMS messages within the Roamless app.)
