How do Roamless Calls work?
You can use your Roamless app to make calls to any destination in the world, as long as you have sufficient Roamless credits in your account and an active internet connection. You simply open your Roamless app, go to the Calls tab, dial the number you want to call including the +country code, and use your Roamless credits for voice calls globally, paying per minute of talk time. (Please note that you need to use the Roamless app to make Roamless calls. As Roamless calls use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology, you cannot use your mobile device’s default phone app.)
How can I receive calls or SMS with Roamless?
You can purchase a Roamless Number to receive calls and SMS directly within the Roamless app. (Please remember that since the Roamless eSIM is a data-only eSIM, it does not include a designated phone number.)
How can I make free Roamless calls?
You need to have Roamless credits on your account to make Roamless calls to regular phone numbers. However, if you have a verified number with Roamless, you can call other Roamless users who also have verified numbers or Roamless Numbers for free, using Roamless to Roamless calling.
Can I make calls using the balance from my data plan?
No. Data plans are only for providing mobile data connectivity with your Roamless eSIM. You need Roamless credits to be able to make Roamless in-app calls.
Can I use Roamless calls without mobile data?
No. Since Roamless calls use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology, you will need an active internet connection to make Roamless calls. If you do not have mobile data (such as 3G, 4G/LTE, or 5G) or a WiFi connection available, you cannot make Roamless calls.
Do I need a Roamless eSIM to make calls using the Roamless app?
No. Roamless Calls do not require a Roamless eSIM to function. To make calls, you only need the latest version of the Roamless app, an active internet connection (via WiFi, your regular SIM, or the Roamless eSIM), and Roamless credits.
Does my Roamless eSIM come with a phone number?
No. The Roamless eSIM is a data-only eSIM and does not include a designated phone number. However, you can subscribe to an international Roamless phone number from inside the Roamless app, and use your Roamless Number as Caller ID, make and receive calls, and send and receive SMS including 2FA (two-factor authentication) and OTP (one-time-password) messages.
