If you’ve ever streamed a movie mid-flight only to land and struggle to get online affordably, you’ve felt the problem we’ve set out to solve. Cross-border mobile connectivity is still broken — and we’ve been obsessed with fixing it since day one.
Today, we’re excited to share a major milestone on that journey: we’ve raised a $12 million Series A, bringing our total funding to $18 million in less than three years since founding in 2023.
Our Series A was lead by Rasmal Ventures with strong participation from Shorooq* and Revo Capital. Finberg and JIMCO also participated in the round.
This investment fuels our mission to build the world's first truly global, all-in-one travel connectivity app and mobile operator. We already serve over 1 million travelers across 200+ countries and territories and have grown nearly 5x year-over-year. In our next phase, we will expand network coverage, scale our global go-to-market, raise the bar on customer support and deepen our customer and supplier partnerships.

How We Started
Roamless was born from a frustration every international traveler knows too well: roaming fees that feel like a penalty, and the airport ritual of hunting for a local SIM card.
As eSIM apps started popping up, the pain simply shifted. We were juggling dozens of eSIMs in our phones with expiring data plans, inconsistent onboarding flows, and support nightmares across endless bundles.
We believed there had to be a better way — so we chose the harder path. Instead of reselling connectivity like most eSIM stores, we set out to build our own telecom stack from scratch.
The Roamless Experience
In contrast with other eSIM providers, we run on our own telecom infrastructure, built by our in-house team, which includes our co-founders and senior telco professionals who set up the international core networks for Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, A1 Group, Telia Sonera and other Tier-1 mobile operators globally.
Our telecom stack is a cloud-based, carrier-grade infrastructure layer that manages connectivity across hundreds of networks as a single experience. This enables seamless coverage across borders today, and lays the foundation for new services beyond data-only products. Also, this affords our company greater control over the customer experience, rather than simply reselling third-party SIMs.
Our app today revolves around two simple, traveler-friendly products:
Pay-As-You-Go: Data that never expires as long as you keep topping up. One global balance. Zero waste.
Destination Plans: 30-day data plans for travel to a specific country.
Both are powered by our Single Global eSIM — one installation that unlocks connectivity in every country we cover. No swapping SIMs. No scanning new QR codes. Just land and go. This has been especially valuable for travelers tired of “unlimited” plans that throttle after minimal use or bundles that expire with unused balances

The next version of our app will have much more:
Roamless Numbers: Soon we will launch Roamless Numbers, enabling users to obtain local numbers in more than 20 countries and make calls or send and receive SMS like a local from within the app. Offering local numbers evolves Roamless from a travel eSIM into a full global carrier.
B2B Expansion: Roamless is investing in APIs and B2B solutions that allow airlines, airports, OTAs, financial institutions, and superapps to embed connectivity into their customer journeys.
Smarter Experience: AI-powered features to optimize network quality, reduce costs, and surface the right partner offers at the right moment.
Our Customers
The eSIM market is growing at pace, expanding by 85% last year. This growth is driven by multiple factors, including the move by the majority of smartphone manufacturers to include the technology as standard. While fewer than 20% of global smartphone connections used eSIM in 2024, the GSMA projects penetration to reach as high as 88% by 2030. With new devices, such as the Apple iPhone Air, eliminating physical SIM trays entirely, the Roamless team anticipates eSIM adoption will ultimately reach 100%.
We believe the eSIM market is set to explode, and we believe we’re in a great position to become the world’s first global all-in-one travel connectivity app and mobile operator. The future winners in this industry will need to combine a terrific product with reliable rails and a carrier-grade technology stack. We’re delighted with the level of service we currently deliver to an ever-growing global base of customers, and extremely proud of our bespoke infrastructure layer.
Our patners agree. To date, we’ve partnered with Visa, Heathrow Airport, Istanbul Airport, Vueling Airlines, Flair Airlines, Grab, local banks, and others on campaigns, travel connectivity programs, and distribution partnerships. These collaborations are helping us reach travelers where they need us most.
Our Team
We’re headquartered in Delaware, but our 55+ team members are spread across 12 cities around the world — many of them major travel hubs. We’re a team with deep roots in telecom, mobile apps, mobility, travel, gaming, and infrastructure.
This team’s goal from the beginning has been to remove the border between telecom and travel. With one global eSIM that simply works, we’re getting closer every day.
Thanks for being part of the journey.
